Cancellation Policy

Due to increased demands, inconvenience, and costs caused by no-shows, late shows and cancellations, we are implementing a No-Show/ Late Cancellation Policy, plus a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for scheduling surgeries.

There has been an increase of demand from the community for veterinary care. Our goal is to provide quality individualized medical care in a timely manner. No-shows, late shows, and cancellations inconvenience those clients and their pets who are in need of veterinary care. We are having to implement a “No-Show” and Late Cancellation Policy due to these overwhelming occurrences.

Cancellation of an appointment: In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other pets, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for any appointment. This time will be reallocated to a pet who is in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call, text, or email at least 48 business hours before your scheduled appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient to receive timely veterinary care.

Late Cancellations: A cancellation is considered to be late when the appointment is cancelled without a 48-business hour advance notice.

Appointment “No Show” Policy: A “no-show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the client’s chart as a “no-show”. This includes arriving 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late to your appointment the receptionist will see if we are still able to see your pet that day. If we are not, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment. Be mindful that our appointments are scheduled right after one another and because of this the doctor may not have time to give your pet the full exam and care it needs before the next appointment arrives.

The first two times there is a “no-show” or late cancellation there will be no charge to the client. After the 3rd “no-show” you will be REQUIRED to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit for an office call of $48 – $69 depending on the type of visit, before being able to schedule future appointments (if this occurs, the office call fee will be deducted from your total as long as you keep that appointment, otherwise it is non-refundable if you “no-show” your appointment). If there is a 3rd occurrence you will be discharged from the practice.

Surgery Appointment No Show Policy: If you are needing to cancel your pet’s anesthetic/surgical procedure it is required to cancel/reschedule your appointment within 2 business days (during business hours) notice of your appointment time.

 Example-

If you are scheduled to be here-

-Between 7:30am-8:00am on Monday you would need to let us know before 8:00 am the Friday before.

-Between 7:30am-8:00am on Wednesday you would need to let us know before 8:00 am the Monday before.

-Between 7:30am-8:00am on Friday you would need to let us know before 8:00 am the Wednesday before.

A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit equal to ½ of the surgery estimate will be required to schedule the surgery. If you do not show up for the surgery at the appropriate time, that deposit will be lost. If you want to reschedule the surgery you will need to place another deposit.

A surgery “no-show” is a client who missed a surgery appointment without providing a 48-business hour notice of cancellation. If there is a 3rd occurrence you will be discharged from the practice. Surgery appointments require time to be blocked off of the doctor’s time, if one does not show up, that time cannot be filled, and thus, money and time are lost.

Thank you for all your dedication and support during these challenging times. We appreciate your understanding about this new policy. Please reach out with any questions.
