Dr Alex Hill - Owner/Veterinarian

Born and raised in Michigan and Indiana, where he developed a love for
animals, football and all things outdoors. He graduated from Harvard
University and then the University of Georgia, school of Veterinary
Medicine with honors. Has been practicing small animal veterinary
medicine for the past 27 years, the past 15 years spent running a
practice in Savannah, GA. He moved here to Billings to provide a better
place to raise his family and enjoy all the outdoor activities here in Big
Sky country.

Alethea - Lead Receptionist

Alethea has loved working with animals her whole life. She started grooming dogs and cats right out of high school and went on to win awards. She has also worked for large Specialty Vet Hospitals, trying her hand at many areas from ICU to ultrasound tech.  Alethea’s biggest love is working with horses; she has had many horse jobs throughout her life, including working with the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. She was working as a groom with Hunter/Jumper horses for the past several years, until 2017, she escaped California, and found her way to Montana. She now lives here with her two dogs Betty and Mr. Pickles, and her horse Doc. She enjoys art and photography and her favorite place to be is on her horse in the backcountry with her camera.

Kelli- Lead Technician

Kelli was born in Billings Montana but grew up as a military child. Her father proudly served 23 years in the Marine Corp and because of that Kelli was able to live around the country in places like California, Florida, and Arizona however her favorite place by far was Japan! After graduating high school in Yuma Arizona, Kelli returned to her roots and family, Montana. She attended Rocky Mountain College where she played soccer and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 2015. She has spent the last 6 years loving on your fur-babies here at Grand Avenue Animal Hospital. Outside of work you can find Kelli hiking, camping, snowboarding or attending as many live music concerts as she can – particularly reggae with her boyfriend, Kyle. If she’s not in the mountains she is snuggled up with her 3 cats – Jax, Nala & Muffin.

Kelsey -Technician

Kelsey’s whole world revolves around her husband Jake and her fur babies, Simba, Dennis, Zack, and Cheeks. When she is not taking care of your furry friends here at the hospital, you’ll find her spending time with her family, painting, or enjoying Montana’s great outdoors.

Cassie -Technician

Cassie was born and raised in Billings Montana. She is a former pet groomer with a passion for animal care. Cassie shares her life with her husband, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 leopard geckos, 2 whites tree frogs, and a ball python.  When Cassie is not working you’ll find her immersed in a great book, playing video games, or head banging at metal concerts.  

Kat - Receptionist

Kat is originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon. Her life revolves around her wife, Maggie, her dog, Froggy; her reptiles, and beloved cats—Ladybug, Mr. Beanz, Fig Newton, Salami Mami, and Tonka Truck. Kat holds a CTS in Veterinary Office and an AAS in General Studies, she also proudly holds her Fear Free Veterinary Professional Certification, along with certifications in Pet Nutrition & Wellness from the Hill’s Veterinary Academy and Pet First Aid through the American Red Cross. When Kat is not studying or working with animals, Froggy and Kat serve as a local therapy dog team, spreading love and joy to local businesses and practices. When at home you can find her getting lost in a good book and feeding her passion for lifelong learning.

Christy- Off To Vet School

Christy was born in Miles City, Montana and has spent her who life here. She has always wanted to be a veterinarian and has been working with us here, while she finishes her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at MSUB, in preparation for veterinary school. Christy will be attending the Carlson Collage of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University this fall and hopes to return after finishing her doctorate; she would like to be a mixed practice veterinarian here in Montana. On her free time you will find her and her dog Oakley on a hike or snuggling her old cat Midnight.
